The Well Outreach is on Track for its Biggest Month in 20 Years and Needs Your Help

From The Well Outreach’s post…
August is hard…really hard…
After 2 months of increased need feeding families, we have once again grown over 15% in serving numbers in just 60 days.
The Well’s goal is to never turn anyone away and to always help with food. To do so we need our community’s help.
We’d treasure your support of The Well Outreach to get through August feeding everyone that comes through our doors.
August, 2026 is projected to be the BIGGEST serving month we’ve ever had in our 20-year food pantry history!!
We are projecting that we will serve between 2600-2800 local families in need.
Your help keeping up with increased need is TRULY APPRECIATED

Looking to Adopt, Foster, or Volunteer? Maury County Animal Services Just Made It a Lot Easier

From Maury County Animal Services’ post…
After a lot of long days and a lot of hard work Maury County Animal Services has a brand new website!! The old site was taken down to the studs and reworked to be more user friendly and a one stop shop for everything pertaining to the shelter.
This means you can learn about volunteering, fostering or donating, you can learn about our available animals and see a monthly schedule of events. You can see our latest news and follow what we are posting. We also have all the animal control "business" links right there at your finger tips as well. Our animal surrender form is there and that's how the process of surrendering your pet will start now. Links to fill out lost and found animal reports are right there. Facts that you need to know, it's all in one location to make it easy to find whatever you may be looking for.
We are really proud of our new site. A small handful of really dedicated people worked on the new site with a lot of guidance from our director. Please take a look and let us know what you think.
MCFD Rescues Person Who Fell Down Embankment Near River

On Saturday, 8/15 @ 5:56PM, units were dispatched to Carpenters Bridge Rd for a person fallen down an embankment. Responding units: Rescue 21, Truck 21, and Deputy 20.
Units positioned a staff vehicle near the river’s edge as an anchor and set up a 3:1 haul system. The patient was secured in a stokes basket and hauled to the top.
