Lights, Camera, Spring Hill: Film Crew Arrives Next Week

Lights, camera, Spring Hill! Next week, the hit TV series 9-1-1: Nashville will be filming Season 2 scenes right in our backyard.

Production has secured permits with the City of Spring Hill to film in the area on Wednesday, September 9 and Thursday, September 10, from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Prep work begins Wednesday, September 9, and the crew wraps everything out on Friday, September 11, also 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Both interior and exterior scenes are on the schedule.

A few details, for anyone in or passing through the area:

  • A lane closure will be in effect on Commonwealth Drive, between Clavie Crew Ln and Shirebrook Cir (closest to Wall St), 6:00 AM–9:00 PM during filming days.

  • The Shirebrook Circle entrance closest to Wall St will remain open for residents and their guests.

  • City of Spring Hill Police Officers will be on-site to help direct traffic and keep things running safely.

In a notification letter sent to neighbors, the production's location management team said they understand they're "guests in the neighborhood" and are working closely with the City of Spring Hill to keep any disruption to a minimum.

So if you're driving through the area next week, budget a few extra minutes - and keep an eye out. You might just catch Hollywood at work right here in the neighborhood.

New Pickleball Courts Under Construction at Ridley Sports Complex

Our newest pickleball courts are officially under construction, bringing us one step closer to creating a new sports destination for the City of Columbia.

We are looking forward to filling these courts with programs, tournaments, open play, community events, and plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy pickleball. Most importantly, these courts are being built with our community in mind and with the goal of giving local players more ways to enjoy the sport they love.

We will have more details to share as construction continues. Until then, we will keep you in the loop as these courts take shape.

All September long, help us discover the plants, pollinators, and wildlife living in Maury County!
