Storm Knocks Out Power to Thousands Across Columbia

From CPWS tonight…
9:15 p.m. UPDATE | A large tree fell across a line in Sunnyside. We expect most of that area to be restored shortly, while about 50 customers on Hemingway Ct. and one end of Sunnyside Dr. will remain out for a couple hours or more while we repair the damage.
—————————
We are aware of a large outage affecting about 850 customers in the Sunnyside area just east of Trotwood where a large tree is on the ground. We also know of another 115 customers out in the Riverside area.
A large outage is also affecting 2500+ customers from the West 7th/Trotwood split to Cayce Lane. Crews are now getting out to these areas and others where outages have been identified. We expect there could be other outages as this storm system moves through.
Reminders:
If you are driving, exercise caution where crews are working
DO NOT TOUCH DOWNED LINES!
