New Farmers Market To Open at The Factory at Columbia

It’s finally here, Columbia! 

The NEW & long-awaited INDOOR Weeknight Farmers Market is coming to The Factory at Columbia. 

Our goal is to create a true local farmers market experience — prioritizing local farmers, growers, bakers, and handmade food & artisan producers (think local meats, produce, tallow, holistic goods, handmade lotions + more).

To keep the market aligned with this mission, general craft vendors will not be accepted for this market (but we’d love to see them at Second Saturday Market).

2 food trucks accepted each week to park out front!

Indoor • Local • Community-focused

 Vendor Details:

• Applications submitted monthly
• Payment is due before the month begins
• No partial months at this time
• $100 per month
• February special: $50 (2 weeks only)

Animals Saved During Canaan Road Barn Fire

From Maury County Fire Department’s post today…

MCFD responded to a reported barn fire on Canaan Rd on Tuesday, 1/3, at 7:04PM. Units responded: Engines 21, 25, Tankers 21 and 26, Brush 21, Division 30 and Mount Pleasant FD Engine 82 on auto aid. 

Units arrived to find heavy fire conditions and commenced with defensive fire conditions. Luckily, the animals were let out of the barn prior to the fire consuming it thanks to an alert neighbor. 

Special thanks to MCSO for keeping our firefighters safe from the highly aggressive Highland Cows. 😆
