Shop Small This Saturday and Support the Businesses That Keep Columbia Thriving

From the City of Columbia, TN - Government’s post

The City of Columbia invites residents to celebrate Small Business Saturday this Saturday, November 29, and kick off the holiday season by supporting the locally owned shops and restaurants that make Columbia special.

Celebrated nationwide, Small Business Saturday was created to spotlight the charm, character, and economic impact of small, independently owned businesses. Instead of the rush of big-box stores or online shopping, this day encourages residents to explore the unique experiences and outstanding service small businesses provide.

Local businesses play a vital role in Columbia's economy—hiring locally, reinvesting in the community, and offering one-of-a-kind goods and services.

Every purchase matters: According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, 68 cents of every dollar spent at a small business stays in the local community, helping support essential services such as schools, public safety, and infrastructure.

Residents are encouraged to head downtown this Saturday, discover new favorites, enjoy local dining, and find the perfect holiday gifts—all while supporting Columbia's small business community.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 29, and join the City of Columbia in celebrating the businesses that keep our community thriving. Shop small. Shop local. Shop Columbia.
