Sprouts to Open New Spring Hill Store in 2027

GBT Realty Corporation, a Brentwood-based commercial development and investment firm, has submitted plans to bring Sprouts Farmers Market to Spring Hill. The specialty grocer would serve as the anchor tenant for GBT’s upcoming Port Royal Marketplace project.

Sprouts, one of the nation’s fastest-growing natural and organic food retailers, would mark the first grocery store in Spring Hill centered on fresh, organic products. GBT Realty said the location was chosen to fill a gap in the community, adding convenience and access to healthy foods for nearby neighborhoods.

Plans show a roughly 23,000-square-foot Sprouts store flanked by two smaller retail spaces of about 8,000 square feet each, plus an additional 6,800-square-foot expansion pad. The development site is at the southwest corner of Duplex Road and Port Royal Road, an area that offers high visibility and easy access. Future tenants could include medical services, restaurants, coffee or ice cream shops, apparel, or fitness studios.

Sprouts stores are known for their open layouts and focus on fresh produce, with natural, organic, and affordable items at the core of their offerings. In addition to fruits and vegetables, customers can expect a full-service deli, bulk foods, vitamins and supplements, meat, and seafood.

The company emphasizes sustainability and community involvement, often partnering with local organizations and sourcing regionally when possible. The new store is expected to create around 80 full- and part-time jobs, offering competitive pay and benefits.

GBT Realty submitted its plans to the City of Spring Hill on August 18. Pending city approval, construction could begin in early 2026, with an opening targeted for early 2027.

GBT has become a regular development partner for Sprouts, having built more than a dozen locations, including one in Mt. Juliet set to open this fall, with another dozen projects currently in progress.
