Want to Know What’s Being Built in Spring Hill? There’s a Map for That

Spring Hill residents now have an easier way to find out what’s being built in their neighborhoods. The city has launched a new online development tracker, designed to show where projects are happening, what type of development is planned, and the current status of each.

The interactive map is simple to use. By clicking on one of the locator buttons, residents can view details about projects across the city. At present, there are between 60 and 70 developments in progress, ranging from residential and commercial construction to public infrastructure improvements.

City officials say the tool is meant to give residents more visibility into the rapid growth taking place in Spring Hill. By offering clear, accessible information, the tracker is intended to keep the community informed, engaged, and connected as new projects move forward.

Residents can explore the tracker and learn more about developments near them by visiting the city’s website here.

Sounds like something that would be great for Columbia, too!

Columbia Police Department's Officer of the Month for August 2025

From Columbia Police Department’s post today…

In August, Officer David Williams received information about a wanted subject out of Nashville, who was wanted for homicide and aggravated kidnapping. This individual had been spotted in the Columbia area. Officer Williams observed a vehicle registered to the suspect and initiated a traffic stop. The subject fled on foot but was apprehended a short distance away. Officer Williams' awareness and attention to detail led to the arrest of a dangerous felon with an extensive violent crimes history.

As a result of Officer Williams' efforts, he has been named the Columbia Police Department's Officer of the Month for August 2025. Thank you for the job well done.
