Dash Cam Footage Released in Columbia Hit-and-Run Investigation
Columbia Police have released dash cam footage that may help identify the vehicle involved in the fatal hit-and-run that killed 63-year-old Teresa Nelson on September 11.
Nelson was found in the roadway on Tom J. Hitch Parkway near River Highlands Apartments just before 5 a.m. that morning. Investigators believe she left her home around 4:30 a.m., giving them a narrow timeline leading up to the collision. The driver fled the scene, leaving Nelson behind.
Detectives, with support from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, are urging the public to review the footage and share any information that could help bring closure to Nelson’s family. Even the smallest detail may prove vital.
Anyone with tips is asked to contact Columbia Police at (931) 388-2727, by email at [email protected], or through direct message on the department’s official Facebook page.
