In-N-Out CEO Plans Move to Tennessee Alongside Major Statewide Expansion

In-N-Out Burger isn’t just expanding east — its top executive is making the move, too. Company president and owner Lynsi Snyder recently shared that she and her family will relocate from California to Tennessee as the beloved West Coast burger chain builds its eastern U.S. headquarters in the Nashville area.

“There’s a lot of great things about California,” Snyder said in a recent podcast interview, “but raising a family is not easy here. Doing business is not easy here. The bulk of our stores are still going to be here in California, but it will be wonderful having an office out there, growing out there.”

The decision to put down personal and professional roots in Tennessee follows In-N-Out’s 2023 announcement that it will establish its eastern headquarters in the Berry Farms development in Franklin. The move marks the company’s first major expansion east of Texas, with 35 restaurants planned across the state — including in Middle Tennessee cities such as Murfreesboro, Hendersonville, and Lebanon.

What We Know About In-N-Out’s Tennessee Locations:

  • Murfreesboro: A site on Medical Center Parkway is under construction near Raising Cane’s. The plan was approved in January.

  • Hendersonville: A preliminary plan was approved for 100 N. Anderson Lane (former Exxon station site). A building permit has not yet been issued.

  • Lebanon: Construction is underway on South Hartmann Drive, across from Home Depot.

  • Mt. Juliet: While a design waiver was granted for a site at Golden Bear Gateway and Old Beckwith Road, the company is no longer pursuing that location. City officials remain hopeful a new site can be found.

  • Madison: A revised plan was approved for a restaurant near RiverGate Mall at 1000 Rivergate Parkway.

  • Antioch: A new location is planned near Tanger Outlets at Century Farms. In-N-Out purchased land for $3.95 million in 2023, though approval details remain unclear.

  • Franklin: The Berry Farms headquarters will include an onsite restaurant and bring an estimated 275 jobs to Williamson County. Site preparation is currently underway.

In-N-Out has not released a timeline for the opening of these new locations.

Street Paving Update: Recently Completed Roads

The City of Columbia’s largest-ever paving project is underway—resurfacing 28 miles of city-maintained roads through a $4.5 million investment to improve local infrastructure. Roads were selected based on a comprehensive assessment that utilized advanced technology and machine learning to evaluate pavement conditions and prioritize those in most critical need.

To view the list of streets included in the project visit here.

If your street isn’t included in this year’s paving project, it may be:

-Scheduled for upcoming utility work

-Set to receive curb, drainage, or sidewalk upgrades first

-In lower priority based on overall condition

Public Works continues daily road maintenance, repairing 20–35 potholes using up to 2 tons of asphalt.
