Spring Hill Fire Responds to 7 Emergencies in Just One Hour After Sunday’s Storm

From Spring Hill Fire Department’s post on Sunday…
Within minutes of this afternoon’s storm and deluge of rain water, SHFD’s C-Shift responded to 7 emergencies over the next hour including two homes struck by lightning, an Automatic Alarm, two motor vehicle crashes, fuel leaking from a nearly over turned truck, and a swift water rescue.
Luckily no major damage or injuries were sustained in any of these incidents.
First Fridays 4th of July Celebration

Columbia Noon Rotary, Columbia Breakfast Rotary, and Kiwanis of Columbia are partnering with First Fridays to host our annual Independence Day Celebration — and this year, it’s happening during First Fridays!
Friday, July 4 | 5–8 PM | Downtown Columbia
Patriotic Parade for Kids
Families are encouraged to bring bikes, wagons, scooters — all decked out in red, white, and blue — so children can lead a festive parade around the square!
Meet at the Lower Parking Garage on North Main at 5:00 PM
Parade begins at 5:30 PM through the First Fridays event space!
Honoring Ceremony
Immediately after the parade, join us for a special ceremony to honor the men and women who have served and are serving our country — featuring patriotic music, a tribute, and the National Anthem.
