Early Morning Fire Destroys Camper, Spreads to Abandoned Home—Puppy Rescued Safely

From Maury County Fire Department’s post…
At 4:17am this [Friday] morning units were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Terrapin Branch Rd. Rescue 21 was clearing a motor vehicle accident in the Hampshire Community when the call was dispatched. An immediate mutual aid request for Mount Pleasant FD was made due to multiple calls going on at the same time.
Responding units: Engine 25, Tanker 21, Brush 22, Deputy 20 and a Mount Pleasant FD Engine Company. Units arrived to find a camper fully involved that had caught a dilapidated home on fire as well. A search of the apparent abandoned structure did show signs of someone living in it and units located a puppy inside and removed it. No occupants were located. The fire was quickly contained but due to multiple roof lines overhaul was extensive.
Special thanks to Mount Pleasant Fire for their response.
Spring Hill GM Plant Adds Two New Electric Cadillacs to Production Line
The General Motors plant in Spring Hill celebrated a milestone on Thursday, marking the launch of two new electric Cadillacs being built at the facility. The plant will now produce the Cadillac Vistiq and the high-performance Lyriq V Series — recognized as the fastest Cadillac ever manufactured. The Lyriq has also earned international acclaim, recently being named German Luxury Car of the Year.
The event highlighted the plant’s continued evolution and flexibility in meeting modern customer demands while expanding its role in GM’s electric vehicle future.
Adding to the celebration, country music artist Johnny Dailey took the stage with a live performance of his latest song, “Factory Man,” paying tribute to the hardworking spirit behind the vehicles built in Spring Hill.
