Free Tours and Live Music: Ryman Community Day Returns May 25 for Tennessee Residents

The Ryman Auditorium is set to host its annual Ryman Community Day on May 25. Tennessee residents can enjoy the daytime tour experience free of charge from 9 AM until 4 PM with a valid Tennessee state ID.

As part of Ryman Community Day festivities, PNC Plaza at Ryman Auditorium will come alive with family-friendly offerings, including on-site printmaking from the iconic Hatch Show Print, food trucks, games and activities for children like face painting, caricatures and music crafts from the Vanderbilt Music Cognition Lab. The day will also be filled with free live music, both on the PNC Plaza stage, and inside, on the iconic Ryman stage.

On the Ryman’s daytime tour, guests can experience the history of Nashville’s Mother Church and the legendary artists that have graced its stage. This year, Tennessee visitors have the ability to enhance their experience with a guided backstage tour, available for $10 day-of at the box office. Guests will also have the chance to experience Ryman’s newest exhibit, “Opry 100 at the Ryman” which highlights the 100-year history of the Grand Ole Opry. The Ryman plays a pivotal role in the Opry’s history, serving as the most famous former home of the institution from 1943 to 1974. The new exhibit features exclusive memorabilia and unique items from Opry members like Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline and more.

The daytime tour experience includes immersive videos and star-studded exhibits, including the famed Rock Hall at the Ryman which debuted in 2022. The fan-favorite exhibit currently has brand new items on display that were owned or worn by Eric Clapton, Jon Bon Jovi, Mavis Staples and Sheryl Crow.

Blue Angels Return to Smyrna for 2025 Great Tennessee Air Show

The thrill of precision flight returns to Middle Tennessee as the Great Tennessee Air Show lands at Smyrna Airport on June 7–8, 2025, headlined by the legendary U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

This marks the Blue Angels’ return to the Smyrna skies after their last appearance in 2023. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds served as the show’s featured performers in 2024.

The F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet, introduced to the Blue Angels in 2021, is a game-changer in the skies—25% larger, with 40% greater range, and significantly more capable than its predecessor, the F/A-18 C/D Hornet.

The 2025 Air Show promises more than just jaw-dropping aerial maneuvers. Guests can explore a variety of static aircraft displays, showcasing both military and civilian aviation history. While the full lineup is still under wraps, attendees can expect close-up access to a range of aircraft, helicopters, and possibly ground support equipment.

All tickets must be purchased online in advance—no walk-up sales will be available. To elevate your experience, consider premium options, such as Flight Line Club seating, which includes catered hospitality in a shaded tent—ideal for families, employees, or clients.

Mark your calendar and get ready for a weekend of high-flying fun, family-friendly entertainment, and patriotic pride at one of Tennessee’s most thrilling events.
