The wagon train is the kick start to mule week!
From the Mule Day 2025 Guide:
The wagon train was started as advertising for Mule Day to get people excited for the festivities to come by the weekend! Since 1995 the Wagon Train has traveled through rural communities for two days until it makes its way to Maury County Park on Wednesday. Observers can gather on Lion Parkway Wednesday midafternoon to welcome the Wagon Train into the park. The 2024 Wagon Train was held in Santa Fe and was hosted by the Maury County Coon Hunters Club.
