Middle Tennessee Braces for Severe Weather Late Sunday Night into Monday

Middle Tennessee is bracing for severe weather this weekend, with the National Weather Service warning of strong winds, large hail, and possible tornadoes. The highest threat window is from Sunday night into early Monday morning, prompting officials to urge residents to prepare.
"It could be a busy night Sunday and into Monday morning," said National Weather Service Meteorologist Ryan Husted during a Friday briefing.
The most intense storms are expected between 9 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday, with the Nashville area likely seeing impacts starting around 10 p.m. Thunderstorms capable of producing damaging conditions are expected to push through the region before clearing out by 3 a.m.
Meteorologists have identified areas west of Interstate 65 as being at the highest risk due to increased atmospheric instability. However, the potential for severe weather extends across the entire region, according to National Weather Service Meteorologist Paige Baggett.
Beyond the immediate threat, the weather pattern is expected to stay active throughout the upcoming week. Beginning Wednesday, heavy rainfall could lead to increased flooding concerns as multiple rounds of showers and storms move through the area.
Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware, ensure they have multiple ways to receive alerts, and have a safety plan in place for the overnight storm event.
Weather Down in Muletown posted…
Key Threats:
• Timing: 9 PM Sunday – 6 AM Monday
• Damaging Winds: Widespread risk of strong, potentially destructive straight-line winds.
• Large Hail: Some storms may produce very large hail (+3”).
• Tornadoes: Both discrete supercells ahead of the main line and embedded circulations within the main storm system could produce tornadoes. ****Strong tornadoes cannot be ruled out at this time****
• Nocturnal Risk: Overnight tornadoes are twice as likely to be fatal, making it critical to have multiple ways to receive warnings while you sleep.
Nighttime Severe Weather Preparedness Checklist:
Test your weather radio to ensure it’s working properly.
Charge your phone, turn Do Not Disturb OFF, and enable Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA).
Review your safety plan and know where your safe place is.
Prepare a severe weather kit with a flashlight, sturdy shoes, and extra clothes.
Check the latest forecast before going to bed.
Take Action Now:
• Have multiple ways to receive alerts. A NOAA Weather Radio and smartphone alerts are essential.
• DO NOT rely on outdoor sirens! They are not designed to wake you up.
• Be prepared to act quickly. If a warning is issued, go to your safe place immediately.
Stay weather-aware and prepared as we approach this severe weather event.
Nicole Kidman Movie Filmed in Middle TN Now Streaming
A new movie filmed throughout Middle TN is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. “Holland”, starring Nicole Kidman, was filmed in Clarksville, Springfield and Old Hickory.
So far the movie isn’t getting the best reviews. Rotten Tomatoes says…
“In this wildly unpredictable thriller, Nicole Kidman is the meticulous Nancy Vandergroot, a teacher and homemaker whose picture-perfect life with her community pillar husband (Matthew Macfadyen) and son (Jude Hill) in tulip-filled Holland, Michigan tumbles into a twisted tale. Nancy and her friendly colleague (Gael García Bernal) become suspicious of a secret, only to discover nothing in their lives is what it seems.”
Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a 28% score from critics and 22% from audiences.
Tonight: Forever Abbey Road Brings a Modern Beatles Experience to The Mulehouse

Forever Abbey Road is a collective of successful Nashville musicians who work hard at creating a unique show that demonstrates what the Beatles might sound like if they were around today with current technology and modern rock energy. These musicians play some of the songs just like the record but at times they expand and jam on the music and create incredible new arrangements with dynamic virtuosic musicianship. The band members have worked with a huge list of legends including Garth Brooks, Peter Frampton, Elton John, Trisha Yearwood, Willie Nelson, The Fab Four, Nickelback, Bailey Zimmerman, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and many more!
Forever Abbey Road has SOLD OUT theaters all over the southeastern United States and they've become a fan favorite at many venues and Beatles festivals. Currently they are packing out City Winery Nashville each month with their famous Nashville Beatles brunch show. The band members have also worked with colleagues of the Beatles including the Beatles’ studio genius Geoff Emerick, Joey Molland from Badfinger and Denny Laine and Steve Holley from Paul McCartney and Wings. Forever Abbey Road is the most unique, dynamic, energetic, rockin’ Beatles experience around!
