Find Out if Your Street is Included in Columbia’s $4 Million Paving Plan

From City of Columbia, TN - Government’s post…
The streets selected for the largest paving plan in Columbia's history are available for viewing. The $4 million initiative will improve nearly 20 miles of roadways across the city, addressing areas most in need of repair.
The list of streets selected for repair, along with an overall project map, is available for residents to review online. These streets were identified through a thorough and data-driven 2020 street assessment, utilizing advanced RoadBotics technology. This innovative system, which uses machine learning and high-resolution cameras, enabled the city to evaluate road conditions comprehensively and prioritize repairs where they are needed most. City officials also conducted on-the-ground inspections to ensure that the final list of selected streets aligns with the areas of greatest need, while considering the impact on all neighborhoods.
The paving work will be carried out in phases, with the city committed to keeping residents informed with timely updates about road closures, detours, and construction schedules.

Building Skills & Friendships: Columbia’s Little Bellas Program Kicks Off April 13th

Chickasaw Trace Park is set to welcome back young riders this spring as the Columbia Little Bellas Weekly Program returns for another season of biking, fun, and friendship. Designed for girls ages 7-13, this eight-week program kicks off on Sunday, April 13, and wraps up with a family ice cream social on June 8.
The program, held every Sunday from 4-6 p.m., offers an opportunity for girls of all skill levels to build confidence, make new friends, and develop biking techniques in an encouraging environment. Alongside riding, participants enjoy games, snacks, and the ever-popular Color Day, where fun takes center stage.
Little Bellas is more than just a biking program—it’s about fostering self-confidence, goal-setting, and a sense of camaraderie. By combining mentorship with outdoor activity, the program helps young girls challenge themselves, support one another, and discover their potential.
Since launching in Columbia, the program has drawn families from across the region, eager to take part in both the biking sessions and the natural beauty of Chickasaw Trace Park. Parents and siblings often explore the park’s trails, picnic areas, and RC car track while the girls ride.
Financial assistance is available for those who need it, and the program also provides equipment through its Gear Up initiative, ensuring that every girl has access to the experience.
Little Bellas has expanded significantly since its inception 19 years ago, now running programs in 23 states. Its mission remains the same: to empower girls through cycling while fostering a supportive and fun-filled community.
With space limited to 25 participants, early registration is encouraged. To sign up or learn more, visit littlebellas.org.
