Columbia Academy Boys' Bowling Team Wins Second State Title in Three Years

Columbia Academy's boys' bowling team has solidified its place as a powerhouse, winning its second TSSAA Division II state championship in three years after an undefeated 16-0 season. The Bulldogs clinched the title with a 20-7 victory over St. Benedict in the finals at Smyrna Bowling Center. Led by seniors Chandler Butt, Carter Kimes, and Knox Ransom, the team showcased resilience and dedication throughout their high school careers, progressing from state quarterfinalists as freshmen to champions this year.

Entering the tournament as the top seed, Columbia Academy defeated regional rival Father Ryan in the quarterfinals and Memphis University School in the semifinals before securing the championship. Chandler Butt also excelled individually, finishing as state runner-up in the singles competition and contributing to the team's overall success. The Bulldogs' consistent performance and ability to adapt under pressure highlight their commitment to the sport and each other.
