Annual Holiday Lunch Brings $2,200 Surprise to Spring Hill Server

A group of Spring Hill diners continued their annual tradition of spreading holiday cheer by leaving a significant tip during a luncheon. The event, organized by David Dutton, brings together friends and strangers alike to support local servers and restaurants during the holiday season.

Inspired by an act of generosity he witnessed four years ago, Dutton began hosting these gatherings to collect and present life-changing tips to servers. This year, the group gathered at Kansha Japanese, a relatively new restaurant in Spring Hill, and surprised their server with a $2,200 tip.

Dutton selects locally owned restaurants for these events to support small businesses in the community. Previous locations have included Grecian Family Restaurant and Bakery, W’Lin’s, and other local favorites. The tradition continues to grow as more participants join to contribute to these meaningful gestures of generosity.

Watch the video of the server receiving the tip on Facebook or Instagram.
