From Williamson County Fire/Rescue’s Facebook post

On 11/25/24 at 12:19, Williamson County Fire/Rescue units were dispatched to assist WCSO with a motor vehicle accident involving a cattle trailer. There were no injuries, but a 1600 lb bull got loose. Our animal rescue truck and other department personnel responded to assist. Deputies shut down I-840 while crews assisted the owners with corralling the bull. After running for a while, the bull was wrangled in the middle of the interstate and refused to move. Crews were able to get the bull on a plastic glide and utilize a winch to load him into a trailer. Thank you to all who assisted in this effort!

*The interstate was reportedly reopened just before 3 p.m.

$42.5 Million Sale of Twin Rivers Farm Sets New State Real Estate Record

A Leiper’s Fork property, Twin Rivers Farm, has become the highest-priced residential real estate transaction of the year, selling for $42.5 million. The estate, located at 5845 Old Highway 96, spans 383 acres and features a 10,000-square-foot custom-built home, a covered pool, a barn, a guest cottage, and recreational facilities.

Previously listed for $53 million, the property was sold by Larry and Leiyan Keele through a trust. The Keeles had placed the property under a conservation easement to preserve its natural and historic value. The buyer, listed as 2.718 Farm LLC, remains unidentified, with limited details available from the Tennessee Secretary of State.

Larry Keele, a Tennessee native and co-founder of Los Angeles-based Oaktree Capital, has ties to other historic properties in the region, including Beechwood Hall in Franklin. The home on Twin Rivers Farm was designed by architect Steve Giannetti, who also resides in Leiper’s Fork and operates the lifestyle firm Giannetti Home with his wife, Brooke.

This transaction surpasses an earlier 2024 record set by HCA Healthcare co-founder Tommy Frist Jr., whose Nashville home sold for $32 million.
