New 700-Acre Gated Community with Golf Course Coming to Maury County
A new luxury community named Firefly is underway in the Spring Hill area of Maury County, covering 700 acres just 15 miles south of Franklin. Plans include 407 single-family homes, an 18-hole golf course, a 9-hole short course, and a range of high-end amenities. Future residents can expect a full-service clubhouse, fitness center, pools for families and adults, a bowling alley, golf simulators, and a racquet club with indoor pickleball courts.
Storied Development, in partnership with Wheelock Street Capital, is spearheading the project. With over three decades of development experience across the U.S. and abroad, Storied Development is generating notable interest in the Firefly community. A Founder Member program is available, offering early access to Firefly’s exclusive amenities and a priority option on homesite purchases.
Wheelock Street Capital brings extensive experience in private real estate investment, having raised significant capital and successfully deployed over $11 billion for its investors. This backing has enabled the Firefly project to remain debt-free.
Site preparation and design for the golf course, led by architect Andrew Green, are already in motion. This will be Green’s first original course design, with plans to take advantage of the area's natural terrain for a challenging and unique layout. Course construction is set to begin by the end of this year, with completion expected in late 2025 and an opening targeted for spring 2026.
Pricing for homesites is projected between $500,000 and $1.5 million, while completed homes are anticipated to start at $2.5 million. Closings on homesites are scheduled for spring 2025. For more information on becoming a Founder Member, visit www.fireflyliving.com.
November 16th: Help Build Beds For Sleep in Heavenly Peace

“No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!”
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering beds to children (ages 3-17) in need in the Columbia and surrounding areas. Over the last two years, they have built and delivered over 340 beds to kids in Maury County.
The next bed build will take place on November 16th. This is an event where we will take raw lumber, cut, sand and assemble to make the different parts of the twin beds. It’s a great community event that really makes a difference! If you’d like to help out, please register here. You can see more photos of what you can expect at the next bed build here.
9AM - 10:30AM

Hillbilly Hollar is for children 10 and older. The hayride is for ages 8 and up. Anyone under the age of 16 must have an adult with them for any of the attractions.
