In-N-Out Burger Breaks Ground in Franklin, Prepares for Nashville Launch

A popular California burger chain is expanding in Middle Tennessee with plans to open multiple locations in the coming years. In-N-Out Burger has officially broken ground on its new Tennessee office in Franklin, situated near Berry Farms and Interstate 65. The company is constructing a 100,000-square-foot office building that will house various corporate associates, with the project expected to be completed by 2026.

In addition to the new office, In-N-Out is preparing to launch its first Tennessee restaurants, starting with locations in the Nashville area. The burger chain plans to begin serving customers in these new locations by 2026, marking a significant expansion into the state.

In-N-Out chose Tennessee for its expansion due to the state's strong values in quality, service, and family-oriented communities.

Nashville's Colton Herta Wins at 2024 Music City Grand Prix

Colton Herta may not be as widely recognized as Nashville IndyCar driver Josef Newgarden, but he stole the spotlight at Nashville Superspeedway by winning the 2024 Big Machine Music City Grand Prix. This marked Herta's first victory on an oval, which took place on the 1.33-mile concrete track, as the event shifted from its previous downtown street course. The win is Herta's ninth career victory and his first since moving from California to Nashville in 2023.

Starting from the ninth position, Herta secured the win by making a strategic move late in the race, using Sting Ray Robb, who was out of contention, to pass Pato O'Ward with five laps to go. O'Ward finished second, and Newgarden claimed third.

The 2024 event served as the IndyCar Series championship, and Herta's victory propelled him from fourth to second in the final standings. Alex Palou, who finished 11th in the race, secured the championship title for the third time in four years.

Newgarden led a significant portion of the race with Herta in second, but Herta took the lead for the first time on lap 165. Despite briefly dropping to fourth, he remained confident in his car’s ability to win. Meanwhile, O'Ward encountered issues with his car's tires, which affected his performance in the final laps.

Despite his challenges with tire vibrations and traffic, O'Ward believed he had a shot at victory until the final moments. Herta's earlier struggles with oval races made this win particularly rewarding, adding to his previous season victory at the Grand Prix of Toronto.
