Chris Cummins Named Full-Time Chief of Columbia Fire & Rescue

The City of Columbia is pleased to announce the appointment of Interim Fire Chief Chris Cummins as the new full-time Chief of Columbia Fire & Rescue, Tennessee, effective September 3, 2024.
Chief Cummins brings over three decades of distinguished service with Columbia Fire & Rescue, including a substantial period as a volunteer firefighter in both Maury and Lawrence Counties. His extensive experience and unwavering commitment to public safety have already made a notable impact during his tenure as Interim Chief.
In his new role, Chief Cummins will oversee all facets of Columbia Fire & Rescue, including emergency response operations, training programs, and community outreach initiatives. His leadership will continue to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents and visitors.
Please join us in congratulating Chief Cummins on his permanent appointment. We look forward to his continued contributions to our community.
Maury County Fire Department Assists in Marshall County Structure Fire

MUTUAL AID STRUCTURE FIRE
Today at 11:26am MCFD was dispatched on a mutual aid request to Bear Creek Rd in Marshall County. Responding units: Engines 21 & 23, Tanker 21, and Deputy 20 with a total of 10 personnel.
Units arrived and went to work for approximately 3 hours.

Get revved up for an exhilarating night of motocross at the Maury County Fair & Expo! Join us on Saturday, August 31st at 6:30 pm in the Big Arena for a lot of action and fun!
Interested in participating? Registration starts at 1 pm and practice will be held at 4:00 pm on the day of. Visit here to take a look at the rules.
