Tennessee Holds Steady with Some of the Nation’s Cheapest Gas Prices

Gas prices in Tennessee vary widely, with prices ranging from $2.89 to nearly $3.50. Despite stable national prices since early June, some drivers saw increases due to a recent outage in Joliet, Illinois. However, this did not significantly impact Tennessee.

A storm-related outage at the ExxonMobil refinery in Joliet has caused higher prices in the upper Midwest, but oil prices have fallen recently, which could reduce upward pressure on gas prices.

Tennessee saw one of the largest price shifts in July, with a reduction according to AAA. The average price in Tennessee is around $3.09, down from $3.14 a week ago, making it one of the states with the cheapest gas prices currently.

AAA's report on states with the largest weekly gas price changes shows Tennessee with a 5-cent decrease. In mid-July, average prices in Tennessee were about $3.09, though prices vary by county. Davidson County averages $3.14, Knox County $3.01, Shelby County $3.07, and Williamson County $3.46, which is the highest in the state. Henry County has the lowest at $2.89.

For updated average gas prices, visit gasprice.aaa.com, and for real-time local prices, check gasbuddy.com. Compared to July 2023, when drivers paid an average of $3.27 per gallon, current prices are lower.

Twin Lakes Drive Closed Until August 30 for Buckner Lane Widening Project

Twin Lakes Drive will be closed until August 30 as crews continue the Buckner Lane Widening Project. Buckner Lane will be fully open during this time.

This closure has been extended one month due to unforeseen underground conditions found once the improvements were started.

While Twin Lakes Drive will be closed to thru traffic, access to Summit High School and the surrounding area will still be available via Spring Station Drive.

🎳 Las Vegas Night at Tenn Pin Alley 🎳

Hurry to reserve your spot for Las Vegas Night!

Mike Ransom and Carlton Baker first introduced Las Vegas Night to Columbia, TN in 1984 at what was then Columbia Bowling Center on Nashville Hwy.

It started out with a format to give money away based on using colored pins and getting a strike depending on the positions of the pins. The details evolved and extras were added over time to what you see on the flyer.

We're bringing back Las Vegas Night on Friday, August 2 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Parkway Lanes and (now) Tenn Pin Alley merger. Mike Ransom will MC the event!

This year also marks 40 years of the Ransom family arriving in Columbia as owners/operators of Columbia Bowling Center.

Reservations are required. You can call or stop by to reserve and pay for your spot or email [email protected] with any questions.
