BNA Makes Top 10 List of Best U.S. Airports in 2024

Nashville International Airport (BNA) has been ranked as one of the top 10 airports in the United States by AirHelp. The 2024 Ranking of Global Airports placed BNA sixth nationally and 18th worldwide. The top U.S. airports were Salt Lake City Airport, Washington Dulles Airport, and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.
AirHelp, known for providing travel insurance for lost bags and flight disruptions, conducts an annual evaluation of international airports based on service quality, on-time performance, claims processing, and the availability of shops and dining. The data for this ranking was collected from May 2023 to April 2024, including passenger surveys about their recent travel experiences.
The AirHelp score is heavily weighted towards on-time performance, which accounts for 60% of the score, while service quality and food and shops each contribute 20%. Nashville Airport received a total score of 8.17, with on-time performance rated at 7.8 points, customer opinion at 8.9 points, and food and shops at 8.5 points.
Out of over 4,000 airports in AirHelp's database, the analysis focused on 239 airports from 69 countries, selecting the busiest and most popular airports by flight traffic for the global ranking.

Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport: Score 8.18 – ranked #17 globally
Nashville Airport: Score 8.17 – ranked #18 globally
Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport: Score 8.10 – ranked #21 globally
Charlotte Douglas Airport: Score 8.03 – ranked #30 globally
Honolulu Daniel K. Inouye Airport: Score 7.99 – ranked #37 globally
Austin Bergstrom Airport: Score 7.95 – ranked #44 globally
