$50,000 from HCA Healthcare & TriStar Health to Boost Maury County Tornado Recovery
On Tuesday, HCA Healthcare and TriStar Health announced a $50,000 donation to support relief efforts for Maury County communities affected by the EF3 tornado on May 8th.
Mitch Edgeworth, president of the HCA Healthcare TriStar Division, emphasized their commitment to supporting the health and well-being of the communities they serve, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to aid those impacted by the storm.
The donation is directed to the Maury County Storm Victims Fund, which assists community members directly affected by the tornado. The powerful winds caused extensive damage, destroying many homes in the Spring Hill and Columbia areas.
Maury County Mayor Sheila Butt expressed deep appreciation for the donation, noting that it will significantly aid local residents facing immediate needs and rehoming challenges. She highlighted the importance of community resilience in rebuilding lives after such a disaster.
HCA Healthcare affiliates, TriStar Spring Hill ER and Pinewood Springs Mental Health and Wellness, are located in Maury County, and many HCA Healthcare employees reside there.
Franklin Hosts Prestigious Equestrian Event Featuring Top Riders and Olympic Hopefuls

An Olympic-style equestrian jumping competition is coming to Franklin next month. The 36th annual Saddle Up! Music Country Grand Prix will take place on June 1 at Brownland Farm.
Attendees will see nationally ranked show jumpers and Olympic hopefuls from around the country competing for a $50,000 prize.
The event, originally established in 1989 as the Music City Grand Prix by Christian Currey and his parents Ageneta and Brownlee, attracts riders from across the nation.
In 2001, the event relocated from the family's River Circle Farm to its current venue at Brownland Farm, where it runs alongside the Brownland Farm Horse Show series.
The public is welcome to join the silent auction, accessible online here.
This year, the event will honor five long-term Saddle Up instructors—Tina Carpenter, Anne Craig, Lynne Evans, Bonnie Garner, and the late Jane Muir (1942-2022)—for their dedication to the program, horses, and riders.
Ribbon-Cutting at New I-65 Interchange
From the City of Spring Hill’s post on Instagram yesterday:
The City of Spring Hill proudly hosted federal, state, and local leaders Wednesday morning for the ribbon-cutting at the brand-new I-65 Interchange at June Lake.
This project has been more than a decade in the making, and we are excited to see how this new interstate access point will benefit Spring Hill residents and the surrounding area.
Exit 55 and June Lake Boulevard will officially open to the public on Friday.
