New Mural Appears at the Columbia Walmart - Who is the Artist?

Credit: Natashia Smith
If you’ve been to the Columbia Walmart recently, you might have noticed a big mural at the entrance.
Local mural artist Whitney Herrington shared in the I Heart Columbia (Mule Town) Facebook group, “I am not sure who the artist is, but there’s a company Walmart works with to hire local artists for these murals all across the US. I have done one for Covington and Brentwood. They digitally print them and hang them like wallpaper! And they have certain images/symbols they want to incorporate into the projects. I believe they said they wanted Columbia state, the court house, centrals band, and mule day for this one. (They didn’t like my design 😂)”
The name of the artist doesn’t seem to be on the mural. If you know who the artist is, please reply to this email and let us know so we can acknowledge them!
Another group member shared that a similar mural also appeared at the store in Hohenwald.
It’s Waffle Wednesday!

Today is a great day to treat yourself at The Slothful Waffle at The Factory at Columbia! They’re offering $2 off each waffle. You deserve it!

Loose Wheels will also be serving their waffle creations at Briarworks on Friday from 11AM-2PM, at First Fridays Downtown from 5PM - ?, and Saturday at Asgard from 3-8PM.
