Brad Paisley Honored as ‘Tennessean of the Year’ by Governor Bill Lee
At the Governor’s Residence, country music star Brad Paisley was recognized with the 'Tennessean of the Year - Music' award by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee during the CEO Roundtable Series 2024. This exclusive event honors Tennessee's business and innovation leaders, highlighting the accomplishments of those driving the state's progress.
During the gathering, Brad Paisley reflected on the importance of community in fostering innovative ideas. The CEO Roundtable, featuring Governor Lee and facilitated by Worthington Advisory, is a platform for Tennessee’s leading figures in business to connect and discuss key issues. It provides a unique opportunity for attendees to network with influential industry figures and gain insights into the trends shaping Tennessee's business landscape.
Alongside Brad Paisley, other notable honorees at the event included Bob Higgins, awarded 'Innovator of the Year,' John Ingram, named 'CEO of the Year,' and Dr. Adrienne Battle, who received the 'Changemaker Award.' The 'Tennessean of the Year - Business' honor was awarded to FedEx and The Fred Smith Family, while Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee received the '2024 Tri Star Award.'
Paisley's philanthropic contributions to Tennessee are significant. In 2021, he worked with Governor Lee on the 'Tennessee on Me' campaign to promote state tourism. He also co-founded The Store, a nonprofit grocery store in Nashville, with his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Belmont University. His other charitable efforts include support for the Boys & Girls Club of Tennessee, St. Jude's Country Cares, and the Monroe Carrol Jr. Children's Hospital. Additionally, Brad has helped promote the '1 for All Campaign for the First Amendment' with MTSU and headlined Nashville’s 'Let Freedom Sing' concert.
These recognitions underscore Brad Paisley's influence both in music and philanthropy, highlighting his commitment to making a positive impact on Tennessee's communities.
