Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury Opens Doors to Homeownership Dream Without Down Payment Hurdles
Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury is excited to announce the launch of its Homeownership Program application process, providing a pathway for eligible individuals to realize their dream of owning a home through a supportive and collaborative approach.
The program aims to assist families and individuals in purchasing their first home by eliminating the need for a down payment and tailoring mortgage payments to be no more than 30 percent of their income. This financial stability enables families to establish roots and plan for the future, bridging the gap between renting and traditional homeownership.
Applicants must meet three key criteria to qualify: a demonstrated need for safe and affordable housing, the ability to afford monthly mortgage payments, and a willingness to actively participate throughout the process. Detailed information on program eligibility can be found at hfhwm.org/apply.
Once accepted into the program, families will contribute to the construction of their homes alongside volunteers and community partners. These homes are then sold to the families with affordable financing. Additionally, program participants will undergo budget coaching and receive homebuyer education to prepare for the responsibilities of homeownership.
The journey to homeownership through this program requires dedication, hard work, and time, ensuring the long-term success of partner families, according to Hannah Seegmiller, HFHWM Homeowner Services Manager.
Through this program, Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury empowers families to achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership. Eligible individuals and families are encouraged to take the first step toward homeownership by applying for the program.
For more information on how to apply or details about the Homeownership Program, please visit hfhwm.org or contact [email protected].
