From Franklin to Fame: Quintavious Shines on American Idol’s Season 22 Stage
Some news from our neighbor to the north…
Franklin's own Quintavious Johnson, performing under the stage name Quintavious, showcased his talent on the latest episode of American Idol's Season 22 Top 24 round. This episode, set against the picturesque backdrop of Aulani, a Disney resort in Ko Olina, Hawaii, featured mentoring sessions led by Grammy-winning Idol alum Tori Kelly.
Taking the stage in part one of the two-part Top 24 episode, the 21-year-old delivered a stirring rendition of "Something in the Water," a Grammy-winning hit by Carrie Underwood, also hailing from Franklin.
Tori Kelly was effusive in her praise, remarking on Johnson's ability to hit seemingly impossible high notes with incredible skill. Judge Lionel Richie echoed the sentiment, praising Johnson for his commanding presence and his knack for elevating the energy of the crowd. Richie marveled at a particularly elusive note hit by Johnson during the performance.
Now, Johnson awaits the verdict of the audience's first vote of the season, which will determine the contestants advancing to the Top 20 round. The Top 20 reveal is scheduled for April 14th, airing at 7 p.m. on ABC.
