From The Well’s Facebook post on Wednesday:

The Well Outreach is pleased to announce today, on our 4-year anniversary of moving into our 7,000 sq ft Main Street location in Spring Hill, TN that next week on April 3rd we will be opening our second food pantry location at 700 N. Main Street in Mt. Pleasant, TN!!!

The goal for this new 16,000 sq ft. food pantry is to serve individuals and families in-need with the gift of food so they don’t have to make difficult decisions between paying their rent, or buying food.

This NEW food pantry will initially be open to WILLIAMSON and MAURY COUNTY residents ONLY with limited hours of Mon, Weds and Friday from 9:30-2 to help us slowly roll out this launch. Guests are able to come up to two times a month for food and need to bring an ID with them. (Guests are able to be served at either location, but each serving will count towards the 2x/month limit). For more Information please go to thewelloutreach.org

VOLUNTEERS are still needed for serving opportunities at this location. Please consider joining us for a walk-up volunteer orientation every Wednesday at 2:30, or serve that same day after you are served.

Please pray for The Well Outreach and our Well Team and Volunteers as we embark on this step of faith.

Columbia Breakfast Rotary Club Breaks Ground For New Archery Shelter at Yanahli Park

From Columbia Breakfast Rotary Club’s Facebook Post on Wednesday:

Members of the Columbia Breakfast Rotary Club gathered today to conduct a ground-breaking ceremony for a new archery shelter that is to be built at the current archery range at Yanahli Park.

Yanahli is Maury County’s largest park with 474 acres boasting numerous ecosystems, diverse flora and fauna, unique geologic and hydrological features, and likely the presence of rare, threatened, and endangered species. The site also contains culturally significant features, most notably historic settlements, burial sites, old rock walls, and remnants. Shown above are members of the club with Maury County Mayor Sheila Butt, Club President Clint Owens, and Maury County Parks and Recreation Director Al Ray.

Gas Prices Climbing in Tennessee: Up 24 Cents in One Month

Gas prices surged across Tennessee last week, with the average pump price jumping by nine cents. The current Tennessee Gas Price average stands at $3.18, marking a notable increase of 24 cents compared to one month ago and a slight uptick of five cents from the same period last year.

Megan Cooper, spokesperson for AAA – The Auto Club Group, highlighted the ongoing upward pressure on gas prices in the market. She noted that the recent increases in crude oil prices are likely to translate into another round of pump price hikes for Tennesseans in the coming week. Cooper explained that significant oil price gains typically take a week or two to manifest in retail market adjustments.

69% of Tennessee gas stations have prices below $3.25

The lowest 10% of pump prices are $2.95 for regular unleaded

The highest 10% of pump prices are $3.47 for regular unleaded

Tennessee is the 7th least expensive market in the nation
