Be Prepared to Vote! Super Tuesday Primary Elections Tomorrow

Tomorrow (March 5, 2024) is Super Tuesday and will play a pivotal role in this year's primary campaign. Here's a guide to help you understand and navigate the process:

What's at Stake? Super Tuesday is the most significant day in the current primary campaign, offering voters the opportunity to participate in both the Presidential Preference Primary and County Primary elections. To view the races on your ballot, utilize the GoVoteTN app, where you can search by voter or address.

When and Where to Vote? Discover your polling place and its hours of operation using the GoVoteTN app. Polls across all 95 counties open at various times on Super Tuesday, as detailed on GoVoteTN.gov. All polling locations close at 7 p.m. CST. To minimize wait times, consider casting your ballot in the midmorning or midafternoon. Be aware that peak voting times are early morning, noon, and after 5 p.m. If faced with a line, individuals with specific needs, such as frailty, physical disabilities, or visible pregnancy, can request expedited processing.

Required ID for Voting: Tennessee residents must present valid photo identification when voting. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license or photo ID issued by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, Tennessee state government, or the federal government. Expired IDs are still valid. However, college student IDs are not accepted.

Checking Absentee By-Mail Ballot Status: Utilize the Secretary of State’s Absentee By-Mail Ballot Status Tracker to monitor the progress of your absentee by-mail ballot. If voting by mail, ensure your ballot reaches the county election commission by the close of polls on Super Tuesday. Note that ballots must be returned via mail (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc.), as hand delivery to a poll worker during early voting or on Super Tuesday is not permitted.

Keith Urban Gives Surprise Concert at Nashville Airport

Keith Urban delighted unsuspecting travelers at Nashville International Airport on Saturday with a spontaneous 30-minute performance in Concourse C. The surprise show followed Urban's Ryman debut of his latest single, "Messed Up As Me," during Country Radio Seminar week in Nashville.

Sharing the excitement on his Instagram account, Urban posted videos, exclaiming, "From the baggage claim to a REAL STAGE!!!! Sooooo fun celebrating the release of 'Messed Up As Me' with loads of you in Concourse C yesterday, and a massive thank you to everyone at @flynashville for helping us pull off the surprise."

During the impromptu set, Urban entertained the crowd with several songs and shared a humorous story about a past gig where he was asked to perform on a baggage carousel at a small regional airport, joking that the airport upgrade to a real stage was much appreciated.

Adding a personal touch to the performance, Urban invited a fan to join him on stage. With his arm around her, he sang modified lyrics that playfully included the line "I'm gonna miss my flight," creating a memorable experience for everyone who was lucky enough to catch the concert.

Franchise Milestone: Predators Match Second-Longest Winning Streak

Cody Glass achieved a milestone with his first career hat trick (when a player scores 3 goals in a single game 😉), and Juuse Saros delivered another stellar performance in goal as the Nashville Predators secured their eighth consecutive victory by defeating the Colorado Avalanche, 5-1, at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday.

With this triumph, the Predators have equaled the second-longest winning streak in franchise history, previously set during the 2005-06 season. The team's overall record now stands at 35-25-2 for the campaign, with a home record of 17-15-0 at Bridgestone Arena.

Looking ahead, the Predators will continue their five-game homestand with a matchup against the Montréal Canadiens on Tuesday.
