Looking for a Fun Summer Night Out? Catch a Columbia Jumpin’ Jacks Game

Columbia has a new hometown team to cheer for this summer, and they're already off to a winning start.
The Columbia Jumpin’ Jacks, Columbia’s new collegiate summer baseball team, have officially begun their inaugural season and are bringing high-level baseball to Dave Hall Field on the campus of Columbia State Community College.
The team opened its home schedule on June 4 with an exciting 7-6 victory, giving local fans an early glimpse of what promises to be an entertaining summer season.
The Jumpin’ Jacks compete in the Volunteer State League, a collegiate wood bat league designed to help college players continue developing their skills during the summer months. Rosters feature athletes from colleges across the country, many of whom are working toward opportunities at higher levels of the game.
While player development is a major focus, the organization is also committed to creating a strong connection with the Columbia community. Team officials say the goal is to provide affordable family entertainment while building local partnerships and creating memorable game-day experiences throughout the summer.
Alec Allred, CEO of The Players League: “This is a tremendous opportunity for our league and the city of Columbia. “We look for communities that value baseball, support local events, and take pride in their hometown identity. Columbia represents all of those qualities, and we’re excited to bring the Columbia Jumpin’ Jacks to life here.”
Home games are played at Columbia State’s Dave Hall Field and feature a family-friendly atmosphere with promotions, themed events and opportunities for fans to get involved. Players are also expected to participate in community appearances, camps and youth programs throughout the season.
The season runs from June through August, giving residents plenty of opportunities to catch a game close to home.
For baseball fans, it’s a chance to watch some of the next generation of collegiate talent. For families, it’s an easy and affordable way to spend a summer evening together.
Whether you're a lifelong baseball fan or simply looking for something fun to do on a warm summer night, the Jumpin’ Jacks are giving Columbia a new hometown team to cheer for.
